The former Kawempe South Member of Parliament Hon Mubarak Munyagwa has revealed to the Public that President Museveni doesn’t believe in democracy. Still, instead, he prefers doing things in Military way that involves giving orders and using dictatorship powers as a person heading this particular country since he has all the powers to do majority of the government missions without first consulting anybody about the matter.
During the NSB Eagle program on 10th July 2022, he noted and said that President Museveni is a political figure who ever since came to power neglected the issue of democracy and instead initiated the use of military as the way through which he could manage the politics of Uganda since the people in it are not easy to rule at all.
“President Museveni Doesn’t Believe in Democracy. He does his things the military way. He just gives orders. He always uses force as the only way to manage the entire if not everyone fears the security once it’s tight on the ground. but all this will one day come to an end. Anyway is he the first president to be milatry and a dictatorship leader in the world?” Hon Munyagwa noted
This Comes after the ruling government employed a lot of Miltary in Soroti region a head of the by election in which the FDC Candidate backed up by NUP Members and party is struggling for the post with NRM Candidate and people came up with a lot of mixed reactions following the fact that the government could have gathered all the military to simply scare away the potential voters in the region.
Rogers Mulindwa, The NRM Party spokesperson replied to him saying that the people in opposition aren’t genuine and this was clearly observed in the speakership election race which created a strong message that was seen by everyone even when majority kept quiet abbot the disorganization of the NUP and other opposition parties in the country. Dr Kizza Besigye has lost to president Museveni in four consecutive elections
“Do you still expect such a leader to move forward in any campaign process and candidate wins?” Mulindwa Wondered
This attracted attention from the FDC supporters replying to Mulindwa saying that the ruling government thinks that it still has a lot of time in power and that actually its high time they started realizing that they are leaving the state very soon since all the tactics are getting done only to be left with total defeat in the next upcoming general elections.
