KISORO DISTRICT LOCAL LEADERS CALLS FOR GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION AS TEAM MK PROJECT IS LAUNCHED IN THE DISTRICT.

In the meeting that convened in the district council Hall on Friday 09TH.September.2022 between the leaders of team MK project under their slogan MK is our brand and the people from Kisoro district.
The western team of MK project was led by it’s western chairperson Mr.Agaba Gerald and the national director for public communications in Team MK project Mr.Rwereshera Ashraf who is also the assistant head of intelligence in the National Secretariat.
According to the two Team MK project is political form of continuity headed by the younger brother of Uganda’s president and uncle to the commander of land forces Mr.Michael Kaguta Toyota.
It started way back in 2012 with underground movements and officially launched as the commander of land forces Lt.Gen.Muhozi Kainerugaba celebrated his 48th birthday.

The local leaders from the district spearheaded by the district vice Chairperson and the LCV councilor representing Central division Mr. Nambajimana Alex asked the western representatives of team MK project to vy for government immediate consideration of Kisoro in their long awaited promises by the state leaders.

Mr. Nambajimana Alex talked of John Kale Institute of science and technology (JKIST) that was previously promised by president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni Kaguta. Nambajimana added that even the foundation stone that was laid by the president way back in 2017 in Rwivovo is nowhere to be seen.

He also made remarks regarding the former inspector general of police Gen. Kale Kayihura and said that they expected him to be retired officially and assigned to other state duties as it is done to other former uniformed men. He said that though the president of Uganda acquitted the charges against him, he still has the capacity to assign him with other state duties.

Also the finance secretary for youth affairs Mr. Hakizimana Morris made the same requests asking the team to make sure that the youth from the district are equally included in the employment at the National level.

The Kisoro district Fufa deligate Mr. Mugisha Sam Rwisebura not to deviate from anything they have told Bafumbira in the meeting.

While responding to their requests the western chairperson of Team MK project Mr. Agaba Gerald stood and told the meeting attendants that there’s no worries that the commander of land forces Lt. Gen. Kainerugaba muhozi loves people from the area considering his recent diplomatic moves with Rwandan president H.E Paul Kagame Rutagambwa that brought back the bilateral ties.

Mr. Agaba further remarked on the first son’s influence in the exoneration of former inspector general of police Gen.Kale Kayihura by his father. “Gen. Kale is the close friend of Lt. Gen. Muhozi”, Mr. Agaba said.
He concluded by thanking the district Chairperson of Team MK project Kisoro district Mr.Kazimili Wilson and his friend the Chairperson of Kisoro United Bodaboda organization (KUBO) Mr.KalangalacRobert for their willingness to approach the national Office for the consideration of their district Kisoro and establishment of leadership structures in the team.

Also the director for communications Mr. Rwereshera Ashraf asked Bafumbira to deviate from the propaganda by the so called oppositionist including former army commander and the current head of stalwarts in Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) Rtd. Maj. Gen. Gregory Mugisha Muntu and the long time president museveni fierce critique Rtd. Col. Dr. Kiiza Warren Besigye Kifefe who is strong element in forum for Democratic change (FDC) and his newly created political group people’s front for transition (PFT).
Mr. Rwereshera Ashraf added that there are doing so because they got all the wealth and the capacity to oppose president Gen. Museveni from his government and therefore asked Bafumbira not to waste their team following them.

As the meeting was about to get to it’s closing time, the Kisoro district NRM Vice Chairperson a self proclaimed cadre Mr. Ramathan Ndikuyeze thanked the team and told the team that nearly the whole percentage of all the voters in the district subscribe to the ruling political party National Resistance movement (NRM) and so assured them total support to whoever will come from the first family.

The meeting was attended by the district Speaker Mr. Hakizimana Amos, mayor Ndyana Richard,Nrm Chairperson Nyarusiza sub-county Mr. Murera Geoffrey,councilors Agaba James- southern division Kisoro municipality, Ndayisaba Emmanuel-Nyakinama sub-county, Machari Ivan- Youth councilor.
