The NRM’s political veteran, Capt. Francis Babu as talked in a way of supporting the opposition which has made his NRM supporters left in fear.
Francis Babu was on NBS Barometer hosted by Zambaali Brasio Mukasa on Tuesday night and where he eulogized the late Paul Kawanga Ssemwogerere as a person who had a humble family background full of Christianity.
” These days, many things are being said, and social media and propaganda are misleading us. When you look at the life of the late Dr Paul Kawanga Ssemwogerere, he came from a humble family with a Christian background, ” he said.
Babu further said that the act done by Ssemwogerere of returning the unused funds from the trip he went on abroad back to the government shows that he was morally upright. Adding that he believes that there people who can lead Uganda like Ssemwogerere, as a way of not trusting his boss,
” When you hear that Ssemwogerere once returned unused funds from his trip abroad back to the government, that shows you how morally upright he was. I believe that in the 45 million population of Uganda, there are morally upright people who can lead us, and they will come up, although some have been sidelined, ” he added.
He stated that when you treat yourself right, people will respect you even though you are in the opposition and all these issues began when Uganda started the political parties because they have still failed to unite Uganda.
However Hon. Kyeyune Haruna Kasolo emphasized that Ssemwogerere was a man whose rosary never left out of his neck because he was so religious.
” The late Dr Paul Kawanga Ssemwogerere played his part. He was a man whose Rosary was never seen but was so religious. The late Dr Paul Kawanga Ssemwogerere believed in being a leader for a whole country, not just a region like some politicians we have now, ” Kasolo said.
The late Dr Paul Kawanga Ssemwogerere was a leader who would render advice to anyone regardless of their political party. It was upon you to take it or leave it, according to Kasolo.
