Double Victory: Peace Kabasweka Shines in NCBA Golf Series After Uganda Open Win

Uganda Open Champ Peace Kabasweka Tops NCBA Golf Series

Peace Kabasweka, the recent Uganda Open champion, showcased her golfing prowess once more by clinching another title at the latest NCBA Golf Series in Entebbe. She achieved this victory with a score of 76 gross.

In the men’s category, John Basabosa emerged as the champion with a score of 77 gross, while Harriet Kitaka claimed the women’s category title with a score of 83 gross, as reported by NCBA.

This event received the honor of Mark Muyobo, the CEO of NCBA. During his speech, he expressed his appreciation for the continued support of NCBA’s partners, including World Navi, UBL, ICEA, and more. Muyobo stated that golf is a means to bring communities together, which is why they sponsor such events. Additionally, he mentioned that the winners will have the opportunity to play in the grand finale at Sigona in December, fully sponsored by NCBA.

Serwano Walusimbi, the captain of Entebbe Golf Club, extended his gratitude to the participating golfers in the NCBA golf series. He mentioned that it had been a fun-filled day and that several golfers were aiming for the grand finale. The top four winners would be flown to Sigona for the NCBA grand finale in Nairobi. Walusimbi also highlighted an interesting aspect of the event, the “yellow ball,” which was a moneyball, and they were ready to award the winners of this ball.

The NCBA Golf Series was inaugurated in 2021 and continued into its second year in 2022, hosting two tournaments in Uganda and more than 15 in Kenya. This series also encompasses the Junior Golf Series tournaments, held in partnership with U.S. Kids Golf. These tournaments feature over 300 junior golfers representing over 13 nationalities, all vying for opportunities to participate in the Rome Classic Tournament in Italy and the Big Five South African Tournament.
