In a highly magnificent function, Hon. Seth Ahabwe Muyambi of Kashagama, Kabura county, Lyantode district, wedded Rhonah Nankunda yesterday at Stephens C.O.U Lyantode and proceeded with the celebration at his ancestral home in Kabutetera Kashagama.
The function, marked as the “event of the century,” was blessed by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa and members of the first family, including the great generational mobilizer Chairman Nuwagira Michael Kaguta aka Toyota, accompanied by his wife Mrs. Babrah Toyota, Hon. Aine Sodo Kaguta with his wife, and Hon. Nzeire Shedrack Kaguta with his wife.
The event was also graced by the first son of the Republic of Gabon, military generals from the American military, ambassadors from different states, prominent national and international businessmen, religious bishops, Catholic priests, Muslim sheiks, etc.
While blessing the function, Rt. Hon. Deputy Speaker noted that he has not come to Kashagama as a speaker but rather as a family friend who recognizes and appreciates his bond with Mr. Akandwanaho Emmanuel and Hon. Seth Ahabwe Muyambi. He appreciated the family for setting a landmark in Lyantode and Uganda.
“It’s unity in the family that brings about such events,” he remarked. In a moment of concern, Hon. Speaker used a Runyankole proverb, “omukazi akaringura mukiba ati tikihari konka nonkiza,” which we can literally translate as Hon. Speaker acknowledging that the family of Mr. Akandwanaho Emmanuel and Hon. Seth Muyambi is exceptionally wealthy.
The MK Movement was fully represented by the great generational mobilizer Chairman Toyota Michael, accompanied by formerly district coordinators for Team Chairman from the entire great western region. Mrs. Jacqueline, the Secretary-General, gave a speech on behalf of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba. She emphasized how Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba wished to attend the function of his friends Mr. Akandwanaho Emmanuel and Hon. Seth Muyambi, but busy schedules couldn’t allow. She noted that Gen promised to invite Hon. Seth Muyambi and his wife for a dinner after the party.
Chairman Nuwagira Michael Kaguta aka Toyota, while giving remarks as a family friend and a great mentor of Mr. Akandwanaho Emmanuel and Hon. Seth Muyambi, encouraged people to love the government and President Museveni. He assured people that there is no difference between Mzee Museveni and Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
He emphasized how the MK Movement is a force brought forward to prepare the continuity and sustainability of the revolutionary agenda ushered in by Mzee Museveni. “We are here enjoying peace and stability; our key role is to ensure this peace and stability continues,” Toyota noted.
Hon. Seth Ahabwe Muyambi thanked the people of Uganda, particularly Kabura Lyantode, for coming in large numbers and for supporting his family. He assured the congregation that he would soon tour the entire Kabura County and requested people to welcome him when he comes.
There followed an open bar with all brands of drinks that left many people speaking in tongues.
