This morning, at 9:20 am, Kole District LC 5 Chairman, Andrew Awany, was involved in a road accident along the Lira-Kamdini highway at Apii Trading Center near Otinowa Primary School.
Awany was traveling from Kole District to Lira City in a vehicle with registration number LG0061058.
Dickens Ayini, an eyewitness, informed us that the vehicle was moving at high speed, lost control, and overturned off the road, causing injuries to the chairman who was alone and driving himself.
At the time of compiling this story, he had been taken to an undisclosed medical facility in Lira City for treatment.
