Azawi, the sensational singer from Swangz Avenue, took to social media to address an incident involving Western Uganda’s artist Ray G. In a morning statement, Azawi accused Ray G of interrupting her performance at University Inn in Mbarara, labeling his actions as disrespectful and unprofessional.

Azawi clarified that she has no control over event schedules and found Ray G’s behavior inappropriate. She demanded a public apology from the Mbarara singer for his actions, which included verbal abuses directed at Azawi during the performance.

Highlighting what she perceived as a recurring pattern, Azawi claimed that Ray G often employs such tactics to undermine fellow artists, particularly those from Kampala. This accusation implied a deliberate strategy to diminish the achievements and performances of artists outside Ray G’s local circle.

Emphasizing her commitment to her craft and the respect she holds for her audience, Azawi declared that she would not allow anyone to tarnish her reputation or disrupt her performances. Her strong response conveyed a dedication to maintaining professionalism and artistic integrity in the face of alleged disrespectful behavior.

Expressing regret for the unfortunate incident, Azawi extended an apology to her Mbarara fans who witnessed the confrontation. She stressed that such clashes were avoidable and shouldn’t overshadow the music and connection she aims to create with her audience.
