27th Commonwealth Speakers Conference Delegates Arrive in Kampala

Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa will welcome delegates arriving for the 27th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC) starting this Sunday. The conference, scheduled from January 3 to January 6 at Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort, will feature an opening ceremony on January 4, presided over by President Yoweri Museveni.

Delegates are set to celebrate the New Year in Kampala, with Tayebwa and the organizing committee finalizing preparations during a meeting in Parliament. Tayebwa urged the committee to focus on an internationally significant topic, proposing a carbon-neutral conference with scheduled tree planting activities.
