Revellers at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel experienced an impressive fireworks display as they welcomed the New Year in style. The sky illuminated with various fireworks, lasting about five minutes, creating excitement among the attendees and onlookers around Sheraton.

Events promoter Balaam Barugahara, in the lead-up to the event, had promised a spectacular fireworks show comparable to those at US pop star Michael Jackson’s last birthday. While the comparison may have been an exaggeration, the fireworks were impressive, leaving a lasting memory for those in Kampala.

Singer Jose Chameleone, a familiar face at the Ug Mix Dance Party at Sheraton, once again ushered in the crowd into the New Year. Taking the stage five minutes before midnight, Chameleone’s performance synchronized with the dazzling display of fireworks, captivating the audience.

Despite the diversion of attention towards the fireworks, Chameleone’s performance continued seamlessly, with some revelers enjoying the music even more than the visual spectacle.

Sheebah Karungi and Bebe Cool, not satisfied with the setup, expressed concern that the guests were too far away. In response, Sheebah left the stage and approached the audience to ensure they received optimal entertainment.

Other notable artists like Mesach Ssemakula and Karole Kasita also contributed to the vibrant atmosphere, entertaining the crowd at Sheraton during the Ug Mix Dance Party.
