UPC Flag bearer Apac district Achola Susan Engola telling the people how Atat Cecilia united Lango as a role model during her time as a leader and a mother. May her soul Rest In Peace, Amen.

Apac, Uganda: The Ankole Times newspaper will continue to bring you more coverage from different angles concerning the death of the prominent long-time Member of Parliament, Hon Cecilia Atim Babra Ogwal (MHSRIP). We interacted with Apac’s prominent UPC supporter, Achola Susan Engola, and a long-time friend of the late Hon. Cecilia Atim Babra Ogwal, who had this to say, as can be seen below:

Achola Susan Engola: “On behalf of the people of Apac and on my own behalf, allow me to send my heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Hon. Cecilia Babra Atim Ogwal. Hon. Cecilia Babra was a freedom fighter, advocating for the rights of all Ugandans, especially the rights of women and child mothers in this country.

Hon. Cecilia Babra was a role model for all women politicians. She lived an exemplary life that all women should emulate. For instance, she used to leave politics at the gate and, when at home, played her role as a housewife.

Hon. Cecilia Babra was a mother, a mentor, and, above all, a God-fearing person. ‘Aya Cecilia Babra, you have fought a good fight, kept the faith, and honorably you have finished the race,’ quoted Achola Susan.”

Achola, while talking to The Ankole Times newspaper on Thursday evening, narrated a list of contributions and achievements that the late Hon. Cecilia is remembered for, including uniting the Region of Lango and leaving a lasting impact on the struggle for peace in Lango and Northern Uganda as a whole during the LRA insurgency.

May your soul find rest in God’s glory.

Condolences from Achola Susan Engola, Apac District.
