Mr. Onapa Jimmy Uhuru, commonly known as DJ Cool, has refuted claims that the late MP Atim Cecilia Ogwal was crowned Miss Uganda.
“There is one thing I have to repeat about the late Cecilia Ogwal, especially regarding what she clarified to me on audio during an interview some years ago when she was still alive. She was never crowned Miss Uganda, but she was among those in the race,” narrated DJ Cool.
DJ Cool, who is also the proprietor of Unity FM 97.7, Lira’s prominent radio station, has also echoed that Cecilia wanted households in Lango to be provided with at least two bulls or cows.
Mr. Uhuru said he even has an audio that really emphasizes points made by the late Cecilia Ogwal, stating that the president should empower NRM cadre in Lango.
Jimmy also challenged those who do not recognize the media in events, saying that people who ignore the media are not serious because the community needs the media more than politicians who often ignore them.
In most cases, people use the media for news coverage, sending announcements, advertisements, and mobilization. However, when it comes to community gatherings, most people completely do not recognize the media at all.
“In some functions, politicians do not realize that media practitioners are the ones who market and mobilize for them. But even mere recognition of media houses in their own function, they do not consider it important. We have to show love to people when they are still alive,” said DJ Cool.
“Let’s change and begin loving people when they are still living with us. I am requesting the elders of Lango to follow the example of Cecilia Atim Ogwal, which has a good impact on all the people of Uganda and beyond.
