Kansai Plascon Adds Vibrancy to Uganda’s International Kite Flying Festival 2024

The skies above Luzira, a Kampala suburb, were adorned with vibrant colors as the Indian Community in Uganda celebrated the International Kite Flying Festival 2024 at GEMS International School. This annual event not only brings the community together but also marks the beginning of the spring season, carrying on the tradition of kite flying that originated among kings and royals in India.

Kansai Plascon, known for its strong commitment to community development, played a significant role in enhancing this year’s festival. Santosh Gumte, the Managing Director of Kansai Plascon, highlighted the company’s pride in contributing to Indian culture and the local community in Uganda. The partnership with the event aligns with Plascon’s values of promoting unity and diversity within the Indian community.




At the festival held at GEMS International School, Kansai Plascon collaborated with the Ugandan Indian community, adding excitement by presenting prizes. Attendees had the opportunity to win valuable prizes, including paint worth Ugx1 million, television screens, and an air ticket to India.
