The Ministry of Education and Sports has closed St. Denison Health Training School and Luweero School of Clinical Officers immediately. This decision follows the suspension of their licenses by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry until further instructions are issued.
Investigations conducted by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit and Luweero Police revealed several infractions, including the expiration of the schools’ provisional licenses in 2013 and 2017, respectively, which were not renewed.
Additionally, the investigations uncovered the admission of unqualified students who were exploited during the process and the issuance of counterfeit academic credentials.
