Museveni Heads to Zanzibar

President Yoweri Museveni set off from Uganda on Thursday for an official working visit to the picturesque island of Zanzibar. The trip comes following an invitation extended by Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Accompanied by a delegation of high-ranking officials, President Museveni was bid farewell at Entebbe International Airport by Vice-President Jessica Alupo. Among the dignitaries present to see off the President were Lucy Nakyobe, Head of Public Service and Secretary to the Cabinet; Lt. Gen. Peter Elwelu, Deputy Chief of Defence Forces; AIGP Godfrey Golooba, Director of Human Resource Development at Uganda Police; and Samuel Akena, Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons.
