Patrick Okidi. Obongi – On Monday evening, a team from the State House Anti-Corruption Unit arrested Mr. Rasul Gobe, the Obongi District Human Resource Officer, and Mr. Adaku Alfred, the Obongi District Chief Finance Officer (CFO). The arrests took place in Obongi.
According to an anonymous source who spoke to our reporter, more arrests are expected in Obongi district related to an alleged embezzlement case.
Local residents (Wanainchi) in Obongi have reportedly welcomed the arrests, seeing them as a positive step towards tackling corruption.
This follows earlier investigations by the Inspectorate of Government (IG) that implicated these two officials, along with two others, in the embezzlement of over 100 million shillings.
