The incident happened on 07/05/2024 at around 8:30Pm at Kyabahija 2 cell ,Kakindo town council Sheema District.
Marcial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesparson confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Tiburisiyo Bitwire 70 a peasant a resident of the above named address.
He further named the suspect as Julius Bitwire 28 a bodaboda rider.
It’s alleged that on 06/05/2024 the suspect stole coffee of his father who reported the matter to Kakindo police station and the
following day police officers from Kakindo went to arrest the suspect but took off and went into hiding.
However on the same day he came back at around 8:50 Pm while the deceased was eating supper with his grand children, picked a panga and cut him to death.
Tumusiime said the body was taken to Kabwohe health centre IV and inquiries are on going and efforts to arrest the suspect is on.
