Mr. Otucu Bonny, the Assistant Resident City Commissioner (ARCC) of Lira City, appealed to the people of Lira City to prioritize their health as their wealth. Otucu made this statement on Saturday while officiating at the closing of a one-day health training organized by Lango Revoobit at Hotel Good News in Lira City.
On June 22, 2024, Lango Revoobit organized a one-day health training featuring products like Mira Cell, attracting participants from various sectors including youth, local leaders, and religious leaders.
Commissioner Otucu advised the attendees to adopt healthy lifestyles to ensure longevity and benefit fully from government developmental programs.
He thanked H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for investing in and strengthening the health sector, emphasizing the importance of health as a top priority.
Otucu stressed that it is everyone’s responsibility to take care of their health, noting that many modern diseases stem from lifestyle choices.
He lamented the rise of diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and ulcers, urging regular health check-ups rather than seeking medical attention only when ill.
He highlighted the abundance of health facilities in Lira City, noting ongoing upgrades and construction projects.
Otucu emphasized that these efforts, guided by the Health Minister and Woman MP for Lira City, Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero, are aimed at enhancing healthcare services for the benefit of Lira City and the entire Lango region.
