Yesterday evening, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni presided over an important event at Speke Resort Munyonyo. He oversaw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Government of Uganda and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
President Museveni expressed his pleasure with the new agreement between Uganda and the Sharjah Chamber. He highlighted that relations between Uganda and the Gulf countries have improved significantly compared to the past. According to President Museveni, there is a great potential for investment between Uganda and these Gulf countries that has yet to be fully explored.
The MOU was signed by representatives from several key Ugandan organizations. These included the Ministry of Works and Transport , the Civil Aviation Authority, the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, and the Uganda Wildlife Authority. On the other side, the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry represented the UAE in this agreement.
