ACP Onencan Stephen Jacan, the new RPC of the North Kyoga Region, officially assumed office on Monday morning at the Erute Police Regional Headquarters, receiving the office from SSP Tugiizire Allan, who had been acting RPC for the last two months.
According to a statement issued by SP Jimmy Patrick Okema, Police PRO for the North Kyoga Region, ACP Onencan Stephen expressed gratitude to the regional staff for their warm welcome. He encouraged officers to prioritize conflict resolution over creating adversaries in their line of duty.
“I am here in the Lango sub-region of North Kyoga to complement the existing team and foster cohesive teamwork within the police force,” ACP Onencan remarked.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork and urged department heads to carry out their duties diligently and passionately to serve the community effectively.
Additionally, ACP Onencan Stephen highlighted a few challenges including limited fuel and stressed the significance of intelligence in police operations. He underscored the need for timely information sharing among commanders to facilitate swift responses.
Before his assignment in North Kyoga, ACP Onencan Stephen served as RPC in the Kidepo Region, where he earned a reputation for his prompt response to emergencies and maintaining a clean record.
