The speaker of the Lango Cultural Institution, Willy Omodo Omodo, handed over a logbook, key, and an agreement sheet signed between Q FM Management and Alfred Odongo’s family from Nambieso Agro Secondary School, Ayabi Town Council in Kwania District, on Saturday. Mr. Odongo won a brand new vehicle in a recent Q FM promotion.
Speaker Omodo, representing the Won Nyaci (Lango king) elect, presented the vehicle on Saturday evening. He conveyed greetings from His Highness Eng. Dr. MM Odongo Okune and announced that the coronation of the Won Nyaci elect will take place at the Mayor’s Garden in Lira City on November 2nd, 2024.
Over 20,000 people in Kwania district witnessed the landmark ceremony celebrating their own son, Alfred Odongo, winning a brand new vehicle. He was a lucky winner in the radio program dubbed “Lak Alid Promotion Game” on Q FM Radio 94.3 based in Lira City.
According to one of the directors of Q FM, Mr. Okello Ken, the vehicle, won by Mr. Odongo on July 6th, 2024, at the Lira Town College playground, is in good mechanical condition.
The LC 3 Chairman of Ayabi Sub-county, Kwania District, urged radio listeners and callers to keep following programs on Q FM Radio for future opportunities to win prizes.
Onyango Apolo, one of the directors of Q FM, also known as “Agenda Olil,” encouraged the people of Kwania to continue listening to Q FM for better information.
Opio Doreen, the station manager of Q FM, commended various partners who made the promotion possible, including MTN Uganda, Mru Investment, Faith SSS, Action for Peace and Development Uganda, and Aqua Fina. Doreen added that the “Lak Alid” promotion game was launched on Q FM radio on December 26th, 2022.
The event was enlivened by performances from various artists and comedians from the Lango sub-region, including Sister Nancy, Woda Ayin, Moselo, and Q FM staff.
