Obongi Students Encouraged to Embrace Patriotism by RDC and ARDC

Okidi Patrick, Obongi –  The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Obongi district, Mr. Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, and ARDC Umuhoza Habiba Furaha, recently conducted patriotism training sessions with over 5,000 students across the district.

In an interview on Saturday morning, Mr. Hashaka discussed the initiative. He mentioned that Obongi district has nine secondary schools, including two government-aided and seven private and community schools, with a significant student population.




The RDC and ARDC visited all nine secondary schools and challenged the students to develop a sense of patriotism by loving themselves, their country, East Africa, and Africa as a whole. They also emphasized the importance of discipline.




The story concludes by mentioning that Hashaka and Habiba participated in a road run alongside the students. The students expressed their appreciation for being instilled with the values of patriotism.
