Rev. Fled Byaruhanga, the parish priest of St. Andrews Ngoma Church of Uganda under West Ankole Diocese, has called on Christians to actively support church activities and promote love and unity within the Christian community. He warned against participating in activities that could potentially harm the church.

During a thanksgiving ceremony held at St. Philip’s Church of Uganda in Bugonji, Northern Division, Kabale Municipality, Rev. Byaruhanga encouraged Christians to reflect on whether their actions align with God’s will and the church’s mission. He expressed concern about some Christians in Sheema district who oppose the church while pretending to be supportive.

Rev. Byaruhanga also addressed the issue of discrimination, citing the example of when they started a healing and deliverance ministry in Sheema district. Many Christians opposed the ministry, doubting their ability to cast out demons.

Additionally, he cautioned Christians against consuming food and drinks without considering their sources and potential health risks. He urged them to evaluate whether their choices align with God’s teachings.

Rev. Edward Mwesigwa, the parish priest of St. Philip’s Church of Uganda, preached a message of love and unity among Christians. Prof. Mesharch Katusiimeh from Kabale University, who organized the thanksgiving and return visit between Christians of St. Andrews Ngoma Church and St. Philip’s Church of Uganda in Bugonji, emphasized the importance of building a strong relationship between Western Ankole Diocese and Kigezi Diocese.
