The Guild Representative of Metropolitan International University, Gad Nizeyimana, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of Kisoro Woman Member of Parliament, Minister Sarah Nyirabashitsi Mateke.
Minister Mateke, who was also a founder and member of the board of trustees at Metropolitan International University, was remembered as a dedicated public servant committed to improving the lives of citizens.
Gad Nizeyimana described Hon. Minister Nyirabashitsi as a tireless worker who supported numerous individuals, both young and old, by paying their functional fees at the university.
Her commitment to the country’s development and her passion for creating positive change will be deeply missed. “As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate her life and the many accomplishments she achieved during her time in office. May her legacy continue to inspire us to work towards a better future for all. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” said Gad Nizeyimana.
Meanwhile, Dr. Arinaitwe Julius, Vice Chancellor of Metropolitan International University, highlighted Sarah Nyirabashitsi’s passion for education and community development. “All staff, students, friends, parents, and the wider Metropolitan community are encouraged to join us in mourning her untimely death. Her contributions to the university will always be remembered,” Dr. Arinaitwe noted.
