Kwania, Uganda – The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Kwania, Arikwanga Richard Noon, has urged members of PDM SACCOs and technocrats in the district to strictly adhere to PDM guidelines when identifying beneficiaries and implementing the program.

Addressing a team of journalists in his office, the RDC emphasized the importance of seeking clarification when encountering challenges during program implementation, such as YLP, UWEP, PDM, and Emyooga. He highlighted that the NRM government is investing significant funds in parishes and that eligible individuals should benefit from these programs.

The RDC expressed his gratitude to journalists in the Lango sub-region, particularly those working in TV, radio, print media, and online publications, for their role in disseminating information about government programs. He acknowledged that journalists are a crucial part of the government and praised the professionalism of those in Lira, Amolatar, Dokolo, Oyam, and other districts in the Lango sub-region. However, he cautioned one journalist in Kwania District (name withheld) to learn from his colleagues about the importance of balanced reporting.

The RDC clarified that PDM is a non-partisan program and benefits are available to everyone, regardless of political affiliation, race, or religion.

Richard Noon pledged to collaborate with all media platforms to promote the achievements of the NRM government and thanked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his initiative in socio-economic transformation and wealth creation, which has contributed to poverty reduction in Kwania and other parts of Uganda.

The RDC concluded by expressing his appreciation for the excellent coverage of government programs by journalists in the Lango sub-region and encouraged them to continue reaching out to his office for information.
