LIRA, Uganda – Senior Presidential Advisor in charge of Lango Affairs, Hon. Sam Engola, in collaboration with Community Focus International, has donated bicycles to a group of 12 people with disabilities in Erute South, Lira District.
The donation, valued at UGX 12 million, was made in response to the group’s recent request for support. The bicycles are expected to improve mobility and independence for the recipients, enhancing their quality of life.
This initiative builds upon Hon. Sam Engola’s previous support to the same group, which included providing eyeglasses and other essential services.
The gesture demonstrates his commitment to improving the welfare of people living with disabilities in Erute South. During the event, beneficiaries expressed their gratitude and acknowledged the positive impact these donations will have on their daily lives.
The collaboration with Community Focus International highlights the importance of partnerships in promoting inclusive development and community empowerment in Erute South.
In addition to this initiative, Hon. Sam Engola has made several other contributions to the community. He has supported P7 candidates by purchasing revision sets of exams to improve their performance. He has also donated iron sheets to boost the religious sector in Lira district.
