Excommunicated former President Museveni Press Secretary’s son Tamale Mirundi Junior could finally get a home again after a loaded Nansana politician, a stern look alike to late Mirundi exhibiting willingness to adopt the troubled Vloger as his own son after being thrown out by his own family.
Tamale Mirundi Junior, one of the most thought after video opinionistas and vloggers in the country has been immersed in a deadly feaud with his family which recently culminated in his excommunication from the Kalisizo Rakai originated family.
Mirundi is among other things, accused of gross misconduct and abuse of his late father’s elder brother, John Ssali, who many say has been the most respected figure in the Mirundi family.
As the battle of words between the parties intensifies, however, a renown politician from Nansana Municipality has expressed the desire to have a one on one with the cantankerous planned Mulekwa to possibly chat out ways of creating a parent-son bond with the offspring of the fallen man with whom he shares a stern resemblance.
William Ssekatwe Biraisa, nicknamed Mirundi for his stunning facial appearance that insanely resembles the fallen Museveni Press man, is a Nansana politician vying for the Municipality MP seat currently occupied by National Unity Platform (NUP)’s Wakaima.
Ssekatwe, who also represented Nabweru at Wakiso District between 2006 and 2011 is also one of the top executives at Uganda’s telecoms regulator- Uganda Telecommunications Corporation Limited (UTCL) where he is currently Deputy Department Head- Customer Service.
While addressing his close resemblance to the fallen controversial socio- political commentator, Ssekatwe beams with pride as he mentions that he had earned a rare connection with the deceased at the time of his demise, thanks to his looks.
” I am glad I had a chance to meet late Tamale Mirundi in a one on one situation that had blossomed into a comrade like relationship. We called each other often thereafter and its unfortunate he had to leave this early,” he recounts with visible grief on his face.
According to the MP hopeful, who, like his fallen lookalike subscribes to the ruling party- NRM, his very first encounter with Mirundi was a chance born out of mistaken identity when organisers at a certain function made him to sit in the VIP seat reserved for the former Presidential Press Secretary.
” They were mistaken and sat me where Mirundi was meant to sit. Being the proud man he always was, he could have purposely wanted to arrive late for the function.” Ssekatwe recounts.
That when the former Museveni man arrived, he, just like everyone around d was stunned, believing they had a ghost amongst themselves. That, he says, marked the beginning of a friendship that he says inites him with the late to date.
On whether Mirundi’s family were right to throw Junior out, Ssekatwe questioned the rationale and legality of such an act, describing it as ” misinformed and out of bad faith. He, however, argued that the incident must be treated as a blessing in disguise for Junior whom he has tipped for bigger things in this country for walking in the steps of his late father. For this reason, Ssekatwe says he relishes an opportunity to meet the troubled son of Tamale Mirundi who he is willing to adopt.
That was insane. How do you even think of expelling someone from a clan you didnt form? This is, however, very good news to Kunior for it has brought out the real picture of Late Mirundi and I bet he will soon be a big person in Uganda. Actually, I am looking for him for a chat to see if he joins my clan and I get him a new name.” The Nansana politician said.
It is however, not clear whether Junior would accept the offer on table, having earlier informed the public of intentions to form his own clan should his relatives stick to the decision to expel him.
