RDC Hashaka Directs Medical Care for Defiled Girl in Obongi

The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Obongi, Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, has ordered immediate medical attention for a young girl who was allegedly defiled by a local councilor.

The girl complained of severe pain in her pelvic area and private parts following the assault.




The RDC visited Obongi Town Primary School to check on three girls who had been defiled, including the one involved in the recent incident.

The suspect in the case had appeared in court on charges of defilement, but the charges were later changed to escape from police custody, where he had been held for approximately two weeks.




The RDC offered his official vehicle to transport the defiled girl to a nearby health center for treatment.

The headteacher of Obongi Town Primary School, Abdallah Ashraf Data, and the senior woman teacher, Ms. Faidah Rahima, informed the RDC that one o

f the most pressing challenges faced by their students is defilement, along with the slow pace of investigations into such cases.
