NRM Leadership Demands Return of Office Equipment from Defiant Leaders in Kisoro By-Elections Campaign

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretariat, currently campaigning in Kisoro for its flag bearer in the ongoing Kisoro District by-elections, has issued a stern directive to NRM leaders at all levels in the district who oppose the party’s candidate.

They are being ordered to return all office equipment immediately. This directive follows allegations that some NRM leaders in Kisoro have shifted their support to independent candidates and other political parties.

Jacqueline Kyatuheire, the Deputy National Treasurer, expressed her disappointment with a group of NRM leaders who have been using NRM-provided bicycles, motorcycles, and other office equipment—intended for party mobilization—for campaigns against the NRM flag bearer.

Kyatuheire has instructed these leaders to return the equipment to the Kisoro District NRM office without delay.

Meanwhile, Rodgers Mulindwa, the senior NRM communications and public relations manager, emphasized that the actions of the defiant leaders are unlawful and unethical according to the NRM constitution.

Mulindwa further ordered that all office equipment be returned, as those leaders who no longer adhere to the party’s terms and conditions should not be allowed to keep its resources.
