Christians have been urged to support active leaders in the forthcoming elections. The call was made by Jorem Obukui, who represented the State Minister for Education and Sports, and the Ngariam MP, Hon. Peter Ogwang, at Apolin Catholic Church and the Church of Uganda.
Obukui stated that a lot has been accomplished by Hon. Ogwang, and he continues to serve the people of Ngariam. He also emphasized that the time for campaigning will come soon.
The leadership of both churches praised the Minister for his open-hearted efforts to assist the needy people across the constituency.
Meanwhile, at Apolin Church of Uganda, Christians expressed their gratitude to the Minister for supporting the construction of the church, which is now complete.
James Opuno, a lay reader from Oriau Church of Uganda in Aleles Parish, who presided over the function, advised the men to take care of their wives so that they would not be “snatched” by outsiders.
While at St. Kizito Catholic Church in Apolin, Katakwi Sub-county, Fr. Olivea Wayesu, the Parish Priest of St. Stephen Catholic Church-Katakwi, baptized 15 children during the service. He also urged Christians to appreciate the work of the Minister in Ngariam County.
