Engineer Bivako Richard, an engineer with the National Water and Sewerage Corporation, is one of only four engineers who have been awarded a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
Bivako Richard is the only student who graduated from his Master’s class of 27 students who began the program in the academic year 2018.
The graduation ceremony was presided over by the Chancellor of Kyambogo University, Professor John Yakobo Okedi, with the First Lady of the Republic of Uganda and Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. Mama Janet Kataha Museveni, represented by the Minister of State for Higher Education, Hon. Clestom Muyingo, as the Chief Guest, alongside the Vice Chancellor of Kyambogo University.
The Obongi RDC, Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, thanked God for this great achievement for the Bivako-Hashaka family. He also expressed gratitude for Bivako Richard’s remarkable achievement, commitment, hard work, and discipline, which enabled him to complete the Master’s degree, privately sponsored by the Hashaka family.
The 20th graduation ceremony of Kyambogo University took place at the university’s graduation grounds on Friday, where thousands attended.
