Agago, Uganda – ARDC Agago, John Oweka Bostify, a staunch NRM cadre in Agago District, predicts that President Museveni will secure a landslide victory in Agago during the 2026 general election. The Assistant RDC of Agago District, Mr. Oweka John Bostify, commonly known as “Oweka Rwakitura,” has long expressed his admiration for H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. He has even named his homestead in Corner Aculu, Omot Sub-county, Agago West County, Agago District, “Rwakitura” as a symbol of his love for the president and the NRM party.
Oweka made these remarks during an exclusive media interview after a political strategic planning meeting with the leadership of Agago District’s NRM Executives ahead of the 2026 election. He stated that President Museveni is set to score 95% of the votes in Agago in the upcoming election, citing the president’s remarkable achievements in Uganda, the Acholi sub-region, and Agago District specifically. In the 2021 elections, President Museveni secured 78% of the votes in the district.
“We are determined to win all elective positions under the NRM flag in Agago District come 2026,” said ARDC Oweka.
Oweka was also meeting with NRM executives, where they had a productive discussion about the party’s progress and strategies to strengthen and mobilize support for the NRM ahead of the 2026 general elections. He added that the Agago NRM party executives and leaders are committed to mobilizing votes for H.E. the president to secure a complete victory in Agago come 2026.
Before his appointment as Assistant RDC, Oweka served as the district youth councilor for Greater Kitgum and the then-Pader District. He was later elected as the District Speaker of Agago District from 2011 to 2016, representing Omot Sub-county at the time.
