Maj. Martha Asiimwe, Head of the RDC Secretariat/ACU in the Office of the President, convened a strategic meeting with Abim District leaders to reinforce teamwork and ensure that government projects have a meaningful impact on the community.

She emphasized the critical importance of collaboration among leaders to enhance service delivery, urging them to align their efforts with the government’s socio-economic transformation agenda.

Maj. Asiimwe highlighted key achievements in the district, attributing the progress to the leadership of H.E. the President and the successful implementation of strategic programs.

However, she also pointed out the need to address ongoing challenges, such as gaps in monitoring and accountability, to improve outcomes for citizens.

The role of the RDC Secretariat was emphasized, focusing on monitoring service delivery, evaluating government programs, and combating corruption through internal mechanisms.

Maj. Asiimwe urged leaders to uphold transparency and informed them of a toll-free line for reporting misconduct, allowing citizens to report corruption without fear.

She urged the team to prioritize initiatives that create jobs, enhance household incomes, and uplift vulnerable groups, reiterating H.E. the President’s directive for the 2021-2026 term to focus on socio-economic transformation.

The meeting concluded with a call for unity: “Let us work together as one team with a shared goal of improving lives and ensuring that government projects deliver tangible benefits to the people of Abim District.”
