A weary internet user named Herbert Mugumya, who is a public policy analyst and advocate for the boy child, has voiced his disappointment regarding the stigma faced by uncircumcised males.
On his X page, he mentioned that he doesn’t aim to spark controversy, but the topic of circumcision is becoming increasingly uncomfortable for many young men.
He acknowledged the benefits of circumcision, including its religious and cultural significance, as well as its hygiene benefits and role in preventing HIV and other STIs. However, he put forth the argument that there is a reason why men are created with a foreskin. Furthermore, he suggested that an uncircumcised penis offers various advantages, particularly during intimate encounters, as it aligns with what he believes is God’s intention.
He highlighted the considerable social pressure and stigma faced by men who choose not to be circumcised, despite their awareness of the benefits. Consequently, he urged parents, friends, and peers to refrain from pressuring individuals into undergoing circumcision.
He questioned why women have adopted a tendency to stigmatize uncircumcised boys, even advocating for the positive attributes of these men in intimate situations.
“I don’t want to cause controversy but there is one issue many young men are uncomfortable with, CIRCUMCISION!
There are many reasons why men are circumcised. 1. Religious practice. 2. Cultural practice. 3. Medical reasons (hygiene, HIV & other STIs prevention). I have no problem with all these reasons!
However, God in his own wisdom of creation, decided that a man will be born this way. There is a reason why he created it this way. There are many advantages uncircumcised penis has and more so during conjugal sessions. Simply because that’s how God intended it to be. Therefore, it’s okay for a man to stay the way he was born, in God’s IMAGE!
Nonetheless, there is huge social blackmail and stigma against boys who stay natural. These boys are aware of the three circumcision reasons above. But they make a decision to remain natural. It has no harm. Parents or peers or girl friends or spouses should not put them on pressure!
Why would ladies take it upon themselves to stigmatize boys who are natural? Please stop it! Reduce pressure! It’s well with the boys. Mary them. They taste sweeter as well. They only need to learn how to use it best. The boys only need to learn how to use it. It’s always important to know how things work. There is no competition in these natural God given matters. Enjoy your relationships and marital bliss.”
Circumcision has been practiced in many cultures around the world for centuries. However, its relevance has heightened in recent years, with studies indicating that it reduces the likelihood of contracting HIV/AIDS.
Initiatives have been launched to offer free circumcision to young men. Undeniably, a trend has emerged among women and other groups where uncircumcised men are often overlooked and even mocked.
