St. Kizito High School Namugongo, a Christian-founded institution named after the youngest Christian martyr, Kizito Omuto, has once again proven to be one of Uganda’s most dependable secondary schools after excelling in the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams—just as it has in previous years.
With the 2024 UCE results released on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at State Lodge, Nakasero, Kampala, the Namugongo-based school has emerged as a beacon of academic excellence, showcasing remarkable achievements under the newly introduced Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
Shortly after the UCE results were made public, the school’s head teacher, Mr. Ezekiel Kazibwe, attributed the outstanding performance to the collaborative efforts of multiple stakeholders.
Kazibwe linked the school’s high performance to students’ discipline, God-fearing values, and teamwork among the staff. He named some of the top-performing students—Ssemujju Terry, Kwagala Esther, Bufambu Emmanuel, Ayella Reagan, Muwanguzi Arthur, and Ntudde Babrah—revealing that all students had passed in Result 1.
“We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements,” said Kazibwe. “Their exceptional performance is a testament to their resilience and determination, as well as the unwavering support of our dedicated teachers and parents.”
Over the past 25 years, since its establishment in 1998, St. Kizito High School Namugongo has maintained its position as a center of academic excellence in Wakiso District, Kira Municipality, Central Uganda, and the entire nation.
Committed to making secondary education accessible to the community and the nation, the school provides a truly holistic and well-rounded quality education that enables students to unleash their full potential and excel in a highly competitive academic environment.
Although a Christian-founded institution, St. Kizito High School Namugongo welcomes students of other religious backgrounds, embracing a non-discriminatory approach.
Notably, earlier this year, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recognized the 2025 winners of the Zayed Sustainability Prize, with St. Kizito High School Namugongo proudly representing Uganda. The school emerged as one of the three finalists in the Global High Schools Category for Sub-Saharan Africa, out of 6,000 schools worldwide.
With a passion for knowledge, a commitment to excellence, and a spirit of innovation, St. Kizito empowers students through a diverse culture and Practical Skills Development, enabling them to adapt seamlessly to the new curriculum.
Over the years, the school has evolved and grown, always dedicated to fostering academic excellence, character development, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the community.
