Former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Asan Kasingye has taken to his X Twitter page to lament about the injustice in the Police Force. Kasingye’s words were specific as they targeted the DPC of Kira Road Police Station, Tyson Rutambika.
According to Kasingye, Rutambika should be a man and come face him instead of threatening his employees at Tayari Security Agency. Kasingye said that enough is enough and he will deal with the DPC.
“DPC Kira Road. The threats you tell my Tayari supervisors, tell them to me directly. I have stomached a lot of your nonsense. Enough is enough!,” said Kasingye.
It should be noted that the former AIGP is a Twitter favourite as he has helped several tweeps out of trouble with the law. However, not everyone was kind to him in regards to tgis post.
One social media user reminded how the former Police officer was unkind to them when they were unjustly charged. Instead of offering help, Kasingye grilled the officers who had been incompetent by letting these prisoners enter prison with a cell phone.
“My friends and I were detained at the very Kira station for allegedly assaulting an OC who attacked us in casual clothes and threatened to shoot us in Kyanja. When I entered the cell with my phone innocently and made tweets to solicit for legal aid, you called a late night parade of OC CIDs and DPCs (Afande Steven was OC then) and smothered them for letting me in with a phone. I was assaulted, photos and posts deleted by force, phone confiscated and unlawfully perused through till I was released. We were illegally detained for a whole week at Kira yet you were our ‘Twitter President’ (LOL).
Karma is bit*** indeed.”
Kasingye nonetheless denied this and said that this person was an attention seeker challenging him to bring the proof that he did this to him and his colleagues. However, most citizens take joy in the fact that people who once held positions of power can also be discarded from the system they once worked for and then start seeing how unfair it is.
