A Ugandan woman, Christine Kyarikunda, is reeling from betrayal after her own sister allegedly stole her husband and children, leaving her life in ruins. In an emotional interview, Christine revealed how her marriage collapsed when her husband, a Uganda Prisons officer, abandoned her to start a new life with her sibling.
“I never thought my own blood would do this to me. My sister was my closest friend. I trusted her with everything,” Christine wept, recounting the pain of discovering her empty home after a trip. Her husband, sister, and children had vanished without explanation.
The nightmare began innocently. Christine, then 17 and a virgin, welcomed her sister’s frequent visits, unaware of the growing affair. “I thought she just enjoyed spending time with us. I didn’t know something was going on behind my back,” she said.
Weeks later, a neighbor tipped her off: her husband and sister were spotted shopping for groceries in a nearby town. Devastated, Christine learned they had moved in together, taken her children, and even welcomed a child of their own—with another on the way.
Now battling depression, Christine is seeking help from Kampala authorities and women’s groups to regain access to her children. “I just want to see my babies again,” she pleaded, her voice trembling with grief.
The shocking saga has ignited conversations about trust, family betrayal, and women’s rights in Uganda. As Christine fights for justice, her story serves as a stark reminder of the emotional toll of infidelity and fractured bonds.

Let her pray and trust God. I had a neighbor, a police officer he chased his wife and grown up children for another woman who didn’t have any child with him. This woman suffered for more than 12 years somewhere with her children but my wife encouraged this woman in praying because both of them are born again. Later on this second woman of de officer started going to witch doctors and one day he got her ready handed doing witch craft. Dat was the last day for de woman in de police officer ‘s home. Now de first one has come back and she is enjoying because this man is a big officer in police yet the second one is suffering in Kampala. My advice is dat let her trust in because nothing is impossible for our God even though she is trying with government authorities.
Let her get in tough with me and I give de contact of my wife and share to pray continuesly making sure dat all her mind is focused to God
