On October 9, 2023, many shoppers at Carrefour Market’s store in Arena Mall, Nsambya, had a delightful surprise when popular singer Cindy joined them for a shopping adventure. The store had incredible discounts on various items, with prices slashed by as much as 65%, attracting a large crowd of excited shoppers.

Before heading to Mbale for her upcoming concert, Cindy had asked her fans to suggest a store with a wide variety of products and affordable prices. She later announced on social media that she would be shopping at Carrefour Nsambya, creating a buzz among her fans.

As Cindy strolled through the aisles, shoppers and fans rushed to greet her and request selfies, which she happily obliged. It’s not common for Ugandan celebrities to go shopping in public, which made this moment even more exciting.

Cindy purchased a variety of items, including food, detergents, beverages, beauty products, stationery, accessories, groceries, and kitchenware. Her shopping spree represented the many parents and soon-to-be parents who can take advantage of Carrefour Market Nsambya’s special offers.

Arena Mall recently introduced free parking and underwent infrastructural upgrades on Nsambya Road, enhancing the shopping experience. Cindy’s shopping trip lasted over an hour, as she couldn’t resist the tempting products on Carrefour Market’s shelves. She even turned the supermarket into a mini concert, entertaining staff and shoppers with her singing.

Carrefour Market at The Arena Mall has launched a ‘My Club’ sales campaign, allowing customers to earn points for discounts on thousands of items. Lucky customers can win Shs1,000,000 worth of MyClub points by recording a video of their shopping experience at Carrefour Market Nsambya, posting it on social media, and tagging Carrefour Uganda. More likes increase the chances of winning.

This campaign comes as a relief for city dwellers facing rising commodity prices due to inflation, especially with the festive season just two months away.
