Housing Finance Bank has announce the launch of the HFB Business Clinics — a transformative platform dedicated to fostering sustainable business growth for Ugandan women as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The business clinics are designed to provide expert advisory services, tailored financial solutions, and practical insights to support enterprises at every stage of development.
The inaugural session, held under the theme “Women in Business”, brought together dynamic female entrepreneurs for a day of empowerment, learning, and collaboration.
Participants were equipped with essential business management skills — including supervision, record-keeping, sustainable practices, and marketing strategies — all foundational elements for building resilient and thriving enterprises.
Speaking at the event, Peace Ayebazibwe, Executive Director of Housing Finance Bank, emphasized the importance of collaboration among women in business.

“We encourage all women to support one another, share experiences, and work together to overcome challenges. By doing so, we create new opportunities and drive inclusive economic growth,” she said.
Ayebazibwe further highlighted Uganda’s strong entrepreneurial spirit and reiterated the Bank’s commitment to sustainability for all.
“At Housing Finance Bank, we recognize the distinct barriers many women encounter when it comes to accessing financial services and trusted guidance. Our HFB Business Clinics are designed to bridge those gaps — especially for those without traditional forms of collateral — empowering Ugandans to unlock their potential to nurture and grow their businesses exponentially,” she added.
The session was marked by powerful stories, inspiring exchanges, and a shared determination to drive change in Uganda’s business landscape. By empowering entrepreneurs with skills and opportunities, Housing Finance Bank is taking yet another bold step toward building an inclusive, financially literate, and sustainable economy.
The HFB Business Clinics are set to be rolled out across the country, with each session tailored to address the unique needs of respective business segments — from youth-led startups and agribusinesses to small manufacturers and traders. The target for 2025 is to publicly skill over 1,000 small businesses across the country.
This initiative aligns with Uganda’s Vision 2040 and the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those focused on gender equality, economic growth, and financial inclusion.
The Bank recently received funding from several sources, including a €50 million facility from the European Investment Bank (EIB), focused on financing women-led and women-focused enterprises; UGX 5 billion from the Uganda Energy Credit Capitalization Company (UECCC), aimed at promoting the adoption of renewable energy solutions such as solar energy and biogas; and Government of Uganda funding for large-scale farmers, aimed at revolutionizing agricultural financing in pursuit of regional food security through interest-free credit.
Housing Finance Bank continues to lead with the purpose of financing a sustainable future for all, proving that meaningful partnerships and knowledge-sharing can create ripple effects that uplift entire communities.
