Obongi District, Uganda – Adrawa Sunday Kizito, a prominent youth figure within the NRM in Obongi District, appears poised for victory in the upcoming NRM district chairperson primaries, scheduled for Friday, May 23, 2025.

He has been widely recognized as “Obongi’s Yellow Brand,” celebrated for his active and vibrant approach, and his commitment to wealth creation. Supporters believe he will elevate NRM structures and members through socio-economic transformation.




In exclusive interviews with several NRM officials across Obongi District, including Obongi Town Council, Palorinya Sub County, and Ewafa Sub County, many expressed their strong readiness to vote for Sunday Kizito on Friday. They consistently described him as honest and pro-community.




Mohamed Juma, a resident of Palorinya, predicted an early win for Sunday, stating, “He is a true NRM material.”




A message circulating among supporters emphasizes, “Your vote isn’t for sale—not for money, sugar, or meat. It’s to determine the future of our children, our government, and Obongi’s direction in line with NRM ideology and core principles.”

Kizito himself urged voters, “Let’s go and vote wisely and with dignity, without fear. It’s your right to elect me, Kizito, who will lobby for your SACCOs, good roads, more ferry services, and unity for all without any segregation.”

He will contend against Buga Abibu, who promises mature leadership and enduring wisdom for the betterment of Obongi District’s development.
