Rubanda District Pledges Unwavering Support for President Museveni, Aims for 100% Vote Share

RUBANDA, UGANDA –  Authorities in Rubanda District have pledged their full support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the upcoming elections, with local security committed to ensuring a smooth electoral process.

A recent meeting, facilitated by Colonel Emmy Katabazi, brought together the district security team, National Resistance Movement (NRM) chairpersons from all levels, women and youth leaders, and district executive members. The gathering was held at the Rubanda Skilling Center in Ikumba Sub-County, Rubanda West.




Addressing the attendees, Colonel Katabazi vowed to work tirelessly to secure a 100% vote share for President Museveni, whom he described as the defender of Uganda’s revolution.




He highlighted the President’s crucial role in restoring peace and democracy, drawing a contrast with previous regimes that he asserted exploited the country.




Kesaphari Prossy, the District Vice Chairperson, expressed strong determination to surpass the district’s previous 85% vote share for President Museveni, aiming for a complete 100% in recognition of his contributions to both Rubanda District and Uganda as a whole.

District Speaker Tushemerirwe Jane Mary echoed Colonel Katabazi’s sentiments, calling for a landslide victory for the President.

Rubanda District Assistant RDC Hilary Bindeba also pledged the security team’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the people during the electoral period.




The meeting saw the attendance of the Rubanda District security team, led by the District Internal Security Officer (DISO), among other key officials.
