MBARARA, Uganda – The body of a male adult recovered from River Rwizi on Thursday evening has been identified as Magambo Elves, a 19-year-old Senior Five (S.5) student from Ntare School. Elves had been reported missing after his expulsion from school.
Elves is the son of Dr. Emmanuel Magambo, a resident of Makenke Cell, Mbarara City, and an employee at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.
His disappearance was reported to Koranorya Police Station on July 2, 2025, after he left home following his expulsion from Ntare School.
According to SP Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson, the body was recovered floating on River Rwizi at approximately 6:00 PM yesterday, July 10, 2025, in Kasanyarazi cell, Kakoba.
Police extend their deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, and investigations into his death remain ongoing.
