Museveni is a Champion of Peace and Security in Uganda and Africa – Says Ambassador Rebecca Otengo

Otuke District, Uganda – The Ambassador of Uganda to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union (AU) has described President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as a champion of peace and security in Uganda and across the African continent.

She highlighted President Museveni’s role not only in fostering stability within Uganda but also in promoting peace across Africa and the world at large.

Ambassador Amuge Otengo added that President Museveni had pacified Uganda and the African continent, affirming that they have a winning candidate for the 2026 general election.

She was addressing the crowd at a public rally held at Orum Primary School, Otuke Town Council, Otuke District, on Thursday, October 2, 2025, ahead of President Museveni’s address.

Amuge added that the contribution of the NRM in terms of service delivery has been evident through improved infrastructure, better roads, electricity, the Parish Development Model (PDM), Emyooga, UWEP, UPE, among others. She urged the people of Otuke District and the Lango Sub-region to vote for the NRM presidential candidate, His Excellency Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

On the other hand, Hon. Acon Julius Bua, the MP for Otuke East County, assured President Museveni of a strong block vote of 90 percent in 2026 and requested him to allow some people from Otuke to pay him a courtesy visit at State House.

Ambassador Amuge Rebeca Otengo also rallied the people not to be deceived by other candidates, urging them to protect the gains made and to continue supporting His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in 2026.

Mr. Emmanuel Dombo, the Director in Charge of Mobilization at the NRM Secretariat, thanked the flag bearers of Otuke, MP Acon Julius Bua, Omara Paul, and Abeja Susan, for the effective mobilization that led to thousands of people attending the campaign rally addressed by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
