Kentim Institute of Innovations Science & Technology Announces Ongoing Enrollment for Semester One 2026

KAMPALA, Uganda — Kentim Institute of Innovations Science & Technology (KIIST) has officially opened enrollment for Semester One 2026, offering a wide range of practical and career-oriented programmes designed to equip learners with hands-on skills for today’s competitive job market.

Located at Kentim University Complex, Plot 5460 Kisaasi–Kyanja Road, Kampala, next to Kampala Standard Nursery and Primary School, the institution continues to position itself as a leading hub for innovation, agriculture, business, and technical training.

Department of Agro-Vet Studies

Under its Department of Agro-Vet Studies, KIIST offers nationally recognized programmes aimed at strengthening Uganda’s agricultural and livestock sectors. The courses include:

  • National Diploma in Animal Health (NDAH)

  • National Diploma in Animal Production and Management (NDAP)

  • National Diploma in Crop Production and Management (NDCP)

  • National Diploma in Agro-Business (NDAGB)

  • National Certificate in Agriculture Production (NCAP)

The institution also conducts hands-on farming short courses at Kentim Farm, leading to the award of a DIT Certificate. These practical trainings cover livestock management skills in dairy, poultry, goats, rabbitry and apiculture, as well as crop management skills in coffee, bananas and spices, plus nursery bed management.

Department of Business & Entrepreneurship

Through its Department of Business and Entrepreneurship, KIIST provides diploma and certificate programmes tailored to meet the growing demands of the business and service sectors. These include:

  • Diploma & Certificate in Business Administration

  • Diploma & Certificate in Accounting & Finance

  • Diploma & Certificate in Hotel and Institutional Catering

  • Diploma & Certificate in Information Communication Technology

  • National Diploma & Certificate in Cosmetology and Beauty Therapy

In addition, the institute offers hands-on short courses conducted at the Kentim University Complex, also leading to a DIT Certificate. These include Applied ICT Skills (Office Applications, AI Fundamentals and Graphic Designing), Computer Hardware Maintenance and Repair, Fashion and Design, Hairdressing, and Baking and Cookery.

Focus on Practical Skills

KIIST emphasizes experiential learning, ensuring that students gain practical exposure alongside theoretical knowledge. The institution says its programmes are structured to promote entrepreneurship, self-employment, and innovation among graduates.
