How many senior government officials would join if Gen Muhoozi organises another run to popularise his presidential ambitions?

Steven Ariong

Hundreds of senior government officials flooded PLU headquarters to buy the running kits to mark the 52nd birthday celebrations of Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba in Kampala. My question is: are they really participating in this for the genuine reasons of thanking God for protecting Gen Muhoozi from his childhood to the current state he is in?

Different categories of people joined the run. Others paid shs 100m for running kits, others shs 10m to shs 5m for running kits, which is very okay to me, the supporter of MK movement. But if Gen Muhoozi could also arrange another run activity promoting his presidential ambitions, will those officials show up?

Most of the faces I saw rushing to pick the run kits are the faces of people who want to hide from the mighty Gen so that he can influence Mzee Yoweri Kaguta to retain them in their positions, while others joined to show their faces for any appointment. But most of them are not with our young ideas of Gen Muhoozi to lead this country.

Many senior government officials are just pretenders, but as youth, it’s high time we need Gen Muhoozi to lead this country, looking at his capability in sanitising corruption and indiscipline in the army.

It should be noted that within a short period as Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi has recovered shs 2 trillion from thieves in the government. Imagine how long it would take if it was other government organs like IGG and anti-corruption bodies to recover this money.

Eradicating corruption in this country needs Gen Muhoozi’s approach, and those who are against the ambitions of Gen Muhoozi to become the president of this country are the most corrupt officials in this country.

President Museveni, as a father and a grandfather, has been fighting corruption, but his approach has been slow because he also has sympathy for his grandchildren and children, unlike our mighty Gen Muhoozi, who does not take it lightly for those abusing government resources.

I would like to appeal to Gen Muhoozi: please don’t let down the hope of millions of young Ugandans who are now trusting you to be their saviour.

Remember, those who are against your plan of becoming the president of Uganda are actually living on borrowed days because the nature of chasing them is at the highest speed.
