Yas Climbs to #63 in Financial Times Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies 2026 Ranking After Strong Performance

Yas, owned by AXIAN Telecom, has been ranked #63 in the Financial Times Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies 2026 ranking, moving up 11 places from its debut position of #74 in 2025.

The ranking, compiled by the Financial Times in partnership with Statista, evaluates compound annual revenue growth between 2021 and 2024 across 130 African companies. It requires independently verified executive-level revenue submissions, making it one of the most credible benchmarks of corporate growth on the continent.

Yas recorded strong financial performance in 2025, closing the year with revenues of USD 1,691 million, reflecting a 20% year-on-year growth. The company currently serves 43.8 million subscribers across 11 African markets, driven by rising demand for mobile connectivity and digital services.

In July 2025, Yas successfully raised USD 600 million through a bond issuance following an upgrade of its credit rating to B+, strengthening its investment capacity and expansion plans.

AXIAN Telecom CEO Hassan Jaber said the company’s growth reflects a coordinated strategy built on financial strength, infrastructure investment, and brand consolidation across Africa. He noted that the launch of Yas as a unified pan-African brand, alongside continued network expansion, has been central to its momentum.

Yas has also gained wider international recognition after entering the Brand Finance Telecoms 150 2026 ranking, where it placed among the top 20 strongest telecom brands globally and was named a “Brand to Watch” for 2026.
