Several people are asking why President Museveni and Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba have not carried out search operations into the properties of former Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa, and instead only concentrate on his boss, Rt. Hon. Anita Among.
Others even call it impunity, because Anita Among comes from Eastern Uganda while Thomas Tayebwa comes from Western Uganda.
To me, I think this is not correct, and we should know that criminality is personal. Today it is Anita Among, so let her carry her own cross. When it is Tayebwa’s time, he will also carry his own cross.
Fine, if Tayebwa also used taxpayers’ money, but he was careful and no one could detect it. But in the case of my sister, she ate and forgot to clean her lips, leaving them full of stolen “simsim,” and nobody around her could tell her to clean it.
We should also know that a person who took a soup of stolen goat and washed his hands may not be easily detected, compared to a person who ate and remained carrying the skin of a stolen goat.
Accusing Hon. Tayebwa now may not carry any weight at all.
So please Ugandans, let us pray for Hon. Anita to come out of this so that she becomes a well-behaved citizen.
