President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has confirmed his attendance at the upcoming C-10 summit scheduled for November 23, 2023. He received an official invitation from Equatorial Guinea’s President, H.E Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. The invitation was personally delivered by Mr. Simeón Oyono Esono Angue, Equatorial Guinea’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Diaspora, at State House Entebbe.
President Museveni is a member of the African Union Committee of the Ten (C-10), which focuses on UN Security Council reforms. The C-10 committee comprises ten African countries, including Algeria, Libya, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Uganda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Namibia, and Zambia. The committee plays a crucial role in advocating for changes in the UN Security Council.
Equatorial Guinea’s Foreign Affairs Minister expressed the honor of having President Museveni at the summit, highlighting his leadership and the invaluable insights he brings to the discussions.
