Amudat District Local Government Headquarters.

By Jopshe Ayolo, Amudat – The Chief Administrative Officer of Amudat, Mr. Emmanuel Oyuku, has come under scrutiny from the general public in Amudat after he declined to issue an appointment letter to the rightful successful candidate and instead gave it to the second runner-up for the post.

Two months ago, the Amudat District Service Commission advertised several positions externally. However, under unclear circumstances, the top winners were denied appointments on the grounds that they lacked sufficient experience to handle the offices, despite some of the applicants having years of experience working with NGOs.

This publication has learned that the aggrieved successful candidates have since taken the matter to the Inspectorate of Government.

Several attempts to obtain a comment from Mr. Emmanuel Oyuku were futile as he did not respond to our repeated calls.

According to sources in the district, the CAO had personal interests in the individuals he appointed, thereby denying the rightful candidates their appointments.
