Kampala, Uganda – Stanbic Bank Uganda is pleased to announce the appointment of Mumba Kenneth Kalifungwa as the new Chief Executive and, by extension, a member of the Board of Directors, effective March 1, 2025. This appointment follows the necessary regulatory approvals.
Mumba brings nearly 30 years of post-qualification experience, 20 of which have been in the banking sector, primarily in senior leadership roles. His experience spans business development, risk management, strategy formulation, and finance strategy across three African markets, including Botswana, Zambia, and, for the past five years, Uganda.

Mumba holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Heriot-Watt University (Scotland) and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (United Kingdom) and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA, UK).
