Ugandan musician Mulwana Patrick, commonly known as Alien Skin, has accused the medical staff at Nsambya Hospital of being responsible for the death of his associate. Jerome Tumwesigye, a close friend of the singer, succumbed to injuries he sustained in a car accident.
It was reported that Jerome crashed into a perimeter wall after losing control of the vehicle he was in. While attempting to flee the scene, the wall struck him, causing severe injuries. He was quickly rushed to Nsambya Hospital, but unfortunately, he lost his life there.
A video circulating online shows Alien Skin’s gang from Fangone Forest causing mayhem at the hospital, where some staff members were assaulted by the group. They were heard accusing the hospital staff of causing Jerome’s death.
Although the singer was not seen in the video, he later took to social media to reveal that their friend had been recovering steadily, and they were confident that he would survive. It was therefore a shock when they were later informed that he had passed away.
The “Lockdown” singer went on to accuse the hospital of being responsible for his death, suggesting that it was either due to negligence or unethical practices.
“Initial medical attention was given, and we paid the necessary bills to secure treatment. His condition seemed stable and was improving, as confirmed by the attending medical team.”
“There is suspicion that the hospital may have mishandled his care, or worse, engaged in unethical practices,” said the Fangone Forest boss.
This incident has caused an uproar on social media, with varying opinions calling for authorities to take action against the singer. Some have argued that the scenes at the hospital, perpetrated by Alien Skin and his gang, were uncalled for and unnecessary.
Alien Skin has reportedly been involved in a number of violent incidents since his rise to stardom a few years ago. One such incident involved him being beaten up by fellow singer Pallaso, which helped propel his fame. Police have confirmed that they are aware of the hospital incident, and investigations are ongoing.
